Sara V’s Story

As a little girl growing up in Mexico, I always dreamed of having my own store. At age 7, my younger brother Saul and I would collect items throughout the neighborhood and we would sell them outside our house. That would be the start of my business adventures. We built our store using a kitchen sink and other furniture items. Unfortunately, the kitchen sink fell on Saul's head and he was sent to the emergency room. Saul had to get stitches because of the large gash on his head. My parents were upset at me for my lack of responsibility. After that incident, Saul no longer wanted to sell at the store with me.
In 1995, I opened my first business, Novedades Durango, at 7 Mile Fair. I sold Baptismal, First Communion, Quinceanera and Wedding dresses along with accessories and many more items. In addition, I also sold mens western wear. Over the next 10 years, we opened two more stores; one in Waukesha and the other in Sheboygan. Fortunately, the business was great but I couldn't keep up with the demands. I decided to sell the two stores and put my full business attention into 7 Mile Fair. As of today, I continue to sell Baptismal, First Communion, Quinceanera and Wedding dresses along with accessories and everything you need to make your celebration the best it can be.
In the last year, I have become a much stronger entrepreneurial woman. I have decided to rename my business, Sara V's. This has always been a dream of mine and I wish to continue this business journey. I hope you enjoy my website, and please visit my store at 7 Mile Fair.
Sincerely,
Sara Violante
